Easy Salisbury Steak Recipe

This easy Salisbury Steak Recipe is delicious! Please Subscribe and comment with any questions!

Salisbury Steak Recipe:
– 1 1/2 lbs ground chuck
– 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
– 3 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
– 1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
– 1 Tbsp ketchup
– 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp black pepper
– 2 Tbsp olive oil
– 2 1/2 cups beef broth
– 1 tsp corn starch

Mix hamburger, panko, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, ketchup, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp black pepper. Shape into 6 1″ thick patties. Place in hot oil, cook 2 minutes on each side, then remove and keep warm. Saute’ onion and mushrooms.
Wisk broth, remaining salt and pepper, and corn starch. Add to the onions and mushrooms. Cook until the sauce thickens. Return the beef patties to the skillet, cover and cook until patties are fully cooked. 10 – 20 minutes.

We’re doing a savory, umami shepherd’s pie that has very low or no oil and is completely plant based. It’s incredibly light, yet meaty. A unlikely combination. And yet here it is.

This recipe is…
► Plant-Based (No Animal Products)
► Low Oil (Or use none!)
► No Sugar
► Easy Difficulty | Serves 6 | 25 Min Prep | 30 Min Cooking

Ingredients ► Savory Shepherd’s Pie

5 Gold Yukon Potatoes
1/3 Cup Almond Milk
1 Cup Green Beans (canned or fresh)
1 Cup Corn (canned or fresh)
1 TBSP Nutritional Yeast (Found at Whole Foods, Optional)
1 Pack Vegan Meat Crumbles (Beyond Meat Beef at Whole Foods)
1/2 Pack Mushrooms, Sliced
1 TSP Thyme
1 TSP Rosemary
4 Cloves Garlic
1/2 Onion, Diced

Directions ► Savory Shepherd’s Pie

1. Steam quartered potatoes for 20 minutes. Mash with Almond Milk, Nutritional Yeast, Rosemary and Seasoning.

2. Sautee Onions and Mushrooms. Use water or Vegetable Broth in place of oil to prevent sticking. When soft, add Crumbled Vegan Beef, Garlic, Tomato Paste and Seasoning.

3. In a pie dish or baking dish, layer Sauteed Beef Mixture, Green Beans, Corn, and Mashed Potatoes. Cover with foil and bake 350F for 20 Minutes. Remove cover and bake another 10 minutes until top is golden.

(yes it’s late) Thanksgiving Leftovers Remix

I know, Thanksgiving has been over for week now but this still can be a useful video for next year if you want some ideas for all those turkey + sides leftovers.

If I don’t make rice porridge/congee from the carcass, I like making stock. Here’s a link to a very similar method:

Thanksgiving leftovers are the best—they can be redone into all sorts of things. I showed how I made the turkey leftover sandwich Ross ate on “Friends” (I do this every year!). It’s not the most appetizing-looking (venturing into “Cooking For Bae” category) dish but it’s really good, promise!
