Remeber the good ol’ days when you coud get a chick-fil-a sandwich without all the gay-hate and chicken slaughter? MMM NO bc those times never existed. Here’s a vegan version you can eat every Sunday that doesn’t hurt animals or give you heart disease 💕🐓

🍔🌿 Here’s the full ingredient list 🌿🍔

Vegan “Chicken”:

– 6 tempeh patties – I buy large sheets from a local company and cut them into circles of 4”-5”diameter. I then sliced them across the middle as if I were cutting a cake, in order to make them thinner
– Organic hot & spicy pickle juice – enough to cove the tempeh patties to marinate. I bought 2 jars of hot & spicy pickles from Trader Joe’s for this entire recipe

Binder:

– ¾ cup unflavored, unsweetened non-dairy milk – I used almond
– ¼ cup hot & spicy pickle juice

– Breading:
– 2 cups organic AP unbleached flour (optional: gluten-free AP flour)
– ⅓ cup VEGAN powdered sugar – I get mine organic from Trader Joe’s super cheap
– 1 Tbsp paprika
– 2 tsp cracked black pepper
– 2 tsp salt

– 1 tsp cayenne pepper
– 1 tsp chili powder
– 1 tsp baking powder
– 1 tsp garlic powder

– For Frying:
– ¾ cup refined coconut oil

– Toppings:
– Vegan burger buns
– Hot & Spicy Pickle medallions left over from the juice we used!
Optional Toppings:

– Fabanaise mayo
– Follow Your Heart cheese slice
– Ketchup for dipping
